On July 15, 2013 from 12pm until 1pm Reeves College Calgary North campus hosted a student appreciation BBQ – Fire up the Grill. Students, staff, faculty and friends enjoyed super delicious burgers, hotdogs and cold drinks. We donated some food to the Calgary Food Bank too.
The Calgary Food Bank is an emergency food distribution hub. The organization gathers and distributes quality emergency food to individual Calgarians and the agencies and programs that serve them.
The Calgary Food Bank is able to provide food and resources every day because of the dedication and compassion of the volunteers:
– every day, over 100 people volunteer at the Food Bank
– last year, almost 10,063 individual and group volunteers supported the Food Bank
– this added up to an incredible 117,324 hours of time to help us feed hungry Calgarians
